كتاب الرقاقThe Book of Heart-Softeners
(اللَّهُ تَعَالَى يُرْزِقُ مِنَ الغَيْبِ)(Allah Almighty provides sustenance from the unseen)
Hadith 5311

وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ فَلَمَّا رَأَى مَا بِهِمْ مِنَ الْحَاجَةِ خَرَجَ إِلَى الْبَرِيَّةِ فَلَمَّا رَأَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ قَامَتْ إِلَى الرَّحَى فَوَضَعَتْهَا وَإِلَى التَّنُّورِ فَسَجَرَتْهُ ثُمَّ قَالَتْ: اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنَا فَنَظَرَتْ فَإِذَا الْجَفْنَةُ قَدِ امْتَلَأَتْ. قَالَ: وَذَهَبَتْ إِلَى التَّنُّورِ فَوَجَدَتْهُ مُمْتَلِئًا. قَالَ: فَرَجَعَ الزَّوْجُ قَالَ: أَصَبْتُمْ بَعْدِي شَيْئًا؟ قَالَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ: نَعَمْ مِنْ رَبِّنَا وَقَامَ إِلَى الرَّحَى فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَوْ لَمْ يَرْفَعْهَا لَمْ تَزَلْ تَدور إِلَى يَوْم الْقِيَامَة» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man went to his family, and when he saw their (hunger) need, he went out to the desert (to show humility and helplessness). When his wife saw this, she went to the millstone and set it right, and went to the oven and lit it. Then the woman prayed, "O Allah! Grant us sustenance." She saw that suddenly the tub was filled (with flour). The narrator states: She went to the oven and found it also filled (with bread). The narrator states: When the husband returned, he asked, "Did you get anything after me?" The wife replied, "Yes! From our Lord." He went to the millstone (to see it). This was mentioned to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so he said: "If he had not lifted (the millstone), it would have kept running until the Day of Resurrection." Its chain is weak. Narrated by Ahmad.
