كتاب الرقاقThe Book of Heart-Softeners
(الفُقَرَاءُ وَالمَسَاكِينُ يَدْخُلُونَ الجَنَّةَ قَبْلَ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً)(The poor and destitute will enter Paradise forty years earlier)
Hadith 5244

وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ أَحْيِنِي مِسْكِينًا وَأَمِتْنِي مِسْكِينًا وَاحْشُرْنِي فِي زُمْرَةِ الْمَسَاكِينِ» فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: لِمَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: «إِنَّهُمْ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ قَبْلَ أَغْنِيَائِهِمْ بِأَرْبَعِينَ خَرِيفًا يَا عَائِشَةُ لَا تَرُدِّي الْمِسْكِينَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ يَا عَائِشَةُ أَحِبِّي الْمَسَاكِينَ وَقَرِّبِيهِمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يُقَرِّبُكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ» رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَالْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي «شُعَبِ الْإِيمَانِ»
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah! Keep me alive as a poor person, cause me to die as a poor person, and gather me among the group of the poor." Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) asked: O Messenger of Allah! Why? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Because they will enter Paradise forty years before the wealthy. Aisha! Do not turn away any poor person empty-handed, even if it is with a piece of a date. Aisha! Love the poor, keep them close to you, so that on the Day of Resurrection Allah will keep you close to Himself." Its chain is weak. Narrated by al-Tirmidhi and al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman.
