وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبِي خَلَّادٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الْعَبْدَ يُعْطِي زُهْدًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَقِلَّةَ مَنْطِقٍ فَاقْتَرِبُوا مِنْهُ فَإِنَّهُ يلقى الْحِكْمَة» . رَوَاهُمَا الْبَيْهَقِيّ فِي «شعب الْإِيمَان»
It is narrated from Abu Huraira and Abu Khallad, may Allah be pleased with them, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When you see a servant who has been granted indifference towards the world and is of few words, then seek his company, for he has been granted wisdom." Both narrations have been transmitted by Imam Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman. Weak, narrated by al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman.
