Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: It was asked to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), "Which person is the best?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Every person with a pure heart and a truthful tongue." The companions said, "We know about a truthful tongue, but what is meant by a pure heart?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is the pure and clean heart in which there is neither sin, nor injustice, nor malice, nor envy." Its chain is authentic. Narrated by Ibn Majah and Al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman.
