Mishkat al-Masabih
كتاب الرقاقThe Book of Heart-Softeners
(لَا تَسْتَخْدِمُوا المَالَ الحَرَامَ فِي العِمَارَاتِ)(Do not use unlawful wealth in buildings)
Hadith 5210

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «اتَّقُوا الْحَرَامَ فِي الْبُنْيَانِ فَإِنَّهُ أَسَاسُ الْخَرَابِ» . رَوَاهُمَا الْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي «شُعَبِ الْإِيمَان»
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Beware of (committing) the unlawful in matters of construction, for it is the foundation of ruin." Both narrations have been reported by Imam Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman. Its chain of narration is weak. Narrated by al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman.
