كتاب الرقاقThe Book of Heart-Softeners
(الشَّقِيُّ الغَنِيُّ الَّذِي لَا شَيْءَ لَهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ)(The wretched rich person who has nothing in the Hereafter)
Hadith 5195

وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: يُجَاءُ بِابْنِ آدَمَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَأَنَّهُ بَذَجٌ فَيُوقَفُ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ اللَّهِ فَيَقُولُ لَهُ: أَعْطَيْتُكَ وَخَوَّلْتُكَ وَأَنْعَمْتُ عَلَيْكَ فَمَا صَنَعْتَ؟ فَيَقُولُ: يَا رَبِّ جَمَعْتُهُ وَثَمَّرْتُهُ وَتَرَكْتُهُ أَكْثَرَ مَا كَانَ فَارْجِعْنِي آتِكَ بِهِ كُلِّهِ. فَيَقُولُ لَهُ: أَرِنِي مَا قَدَّمْتَ. فَيَقُولُ: رَبِّ جَمَعْتُهُ وَثَمَّرْتُهُ وَتَرَكْتُهُ أَكثر ماكان فَارْجِعْنِي آتِكَ بِهِ كُلِّهِ. فَإِذَا عَبْدٌ لَمْ يُقَدِّمْ خَيْرًا فَيُمْضَى بِهِ إِلَى النَّارِ . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ وَضَعفه
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "On the Day of Resurrection, a person will be presented like a goat's kid (in humiliation), and he will be made to stand before Allah. Allah will say to him: I granted you (life and senses, health and well-being), I gave you servants and attendants, and (by sending prophets and books) I bestowed favors upon you, so what did you do? He will say: O my Lord! I accumulated (wealth), increased it, and left behind more than what I had, so send me back and I will bring it all to You. He will be told: Show Me what you sent ahead. Then he will say the same again: I accumulated it, increased it, and left behind more than what I had, so send me back and I will bring it all to You. Thus, he will be such a (wretched) person who did not send forth any good deeds, and he will be sent towards Hell." (Tirmidhi, and he declared it weak. Its chain is weak, narrated by Tirmidhi.)
