كتاب الرقاقThe Book of Heart-Softeners
(فِتْنَةُ أُمَّتِي المَالُ)(The trial of my nation is wealth)
Hadith 5194

وَعَن كَعْب بن عِياضٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ فِتْنَةً وَفِتْنَةُ أُمتي المالُ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
Ka'b bin 'Iyad (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Every nation has had a trial (test and tribulation), and the trial of my nation is wealth." Its chain is authentic, narrated by al-Tirmidhi.
