كتاب الرقاقThe Book of Heart-Softeners
(لَا خَيْرَ فِي نَفَقَاتِ الأَعْمَالِ التَّعْمِيرِيَّةِ)(No good in spending on construction works)
Hadith 5183

وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «النَّفَقَةُ كُلُّهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ إِلَّا الْبِنَاءَ فَلَا خَيْرَ فِيهِ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "All spending in the way of Allah is rewarded except for construction; there is no good in spending on it." (Tirmidhi), and he said this hadith is gharib. Its chain is weak. Narrated by al-Tirmidhi.
