(بَيَانُ حُبِّ الدُّنْيَا أَوِ الآخِرَةِ)(Description of loving the world or the Hereafter)
Hadith 5179

وَعَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ أَحَبَّ دُنْيَاهُ أَضَرَّ بِآخِرَتِهِ وَمَنْ أَحَبَّ آخِرَتَهُ أَضَرَّ بِدُنْيَاهُ فَآثِرُوا مَا يَبْقَى عَلَى مَا يَفْنَى» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَالْبَيْهَقِيّ فِي «شعب الْإِيمَان»
Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever prefers the world has harmed his Hereafter, and whoever prefers the Hereafter has harmed his world. So give preference to that which is everlasting over that which is perishable." Its chain is weak. Narrated by Ahmad and Al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman.
