Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Who is there who will learn these words from me and act upon them, or teach them to someone who will act upon them?" I said: O Messenger of Allah! I will. So he took my hand and counted five things. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Avoid the prohibitions (things made unlawful by Allah), and you will become the most devout worshipper among the people. Be content with what Allah has decreed for you, and you will become the richest of people. Treat your neighbor well, and you will be a believer. Love for people what you love for yourself, and you will be a Muslim. Do not laugh excessively, for excessive laughter deadens the heart." Ahmad, Tirmidhi, and Imam Tirmidhi said: This hadith is gharib. Its chain is weak. Narrated by Ahmad and Tirmidhi.
