Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Who among you prefers the wealth of his heirs over his own wealth?" The companions replied: Each of us prefers his own wealth over the wealth of his heirs. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, his wealth is only that which he has sent forward, while the wealth he leaves behind is for his heirs." Narrated by al-Bukhari.
