وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَجُلًا يَقُولُ: إِنَّ الظَّالِمَ لَا يَضُرُّ إِلَّا نَفْسَهُ فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: بَلَى وَاللَّهِ حَتَّى الْحُبَارَى لَتَمُوتُ فِي وَكْرِهَا هُزْلًا لِظُلْمِ الظَّالِمِ. رَوَى الْبَيْهَقِيُّ الْأَحَادِيثَ الْأَرْبَعَةَ فِي «شُعَبِ الْإِيمَانِ»
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard a man saying that a wrongdoer only harms himself. Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Yes, by Allah! Even the hoopoe bird becomes weak and dies in its nest because of the oppression of the oppressor. Imam Bayhaqi has narrated all four hadiths in Shu'ab al-Iman. Its chain is weak. Narrated by al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman.
