Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah intends good for the people of a household, He grants them gentleness, and when He deprives a household of it, He causes them loss because of it." Sahih, narrated by Al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman.
