Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Moderation in spending is half of livelihood, friendship and love with good people is half of wisdom, and asking good questions is half of knowledge." Imam Bayhaqi has narrated all four of these hadiths in Shu'ab al-Iman. Its chain of narration is weak and rejected. Narrated by al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman.
