Hadith 5050

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسلم: رأى عِيسَى بن مَرْيَمَ رَجُلًا يَسْرِقُ فَقَالَ لَهُ عِيسَى: سَرَقْتَ؟ قَالَ: كَلَّا وَالَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ. فَقَالَ عِيسَى: آمَنْتُ بِاللَّهِ وَكَذَّبْتُ نَفْسِي . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Isa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him) saw a man stealing, so Isa (peace be upon him) said to him: 'You have stolen.' He replied, 'By Him besides whom there is no true deity! I have not.' (Upon this) Isa (peace be upon him) said: 'I believe in Allah, and I deny my own self.'" Narrated by Muslim.
