Mu’adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “Allah the Exalted says: For those who love each other for My sake, meet each other for My sake, and spend on each other for My sake, My love becomes obligatory.” (Malik) And in the narration of Tirmidhi, it is stated: “Allah the Exalted says: For those who love each other for the sake of My majesty and greatness, there are pulpits of light, which even the Prophets and martyrs will envy.” Sahih, narrated by Malik and al-Tirmidhi.
