(تَشْجِيعُ ٱلْوَالِدَيْنِ لِبَنِيهِمْ عَلَى ٱلْخَيْرِ)(Parents encouraging children towards good)
Hadith 4976

وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَأَنْ يُؤَدِّبَ الرَّجُلُ وَلَدَهُ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَتَصَدَّقَ بِصَاعٍ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ وَنَاصِحٌ الرَّاوِي لَيْسَ عِنْدَ أصحابِ الحَدِيث بِالْقَوِيّ
Jabir bin Samurah, may Allah be pleased with him, reports that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A man's good upbringing of his child is better for him than giving a sa’ in charity." Tirmidhi, and he said: This hadith is gharib, and Nasih the narrator is not strong according to the scholars of hadith. Its chain is weak. Narrated by al-Tirmidhi.
