Hadith 4890

وَعَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ وَهُوَ فِي قُبَّةٍ مِنْ أَدَمٍ فَسَلَّمْتُ فَرَدَّ عَلَيَّ وَقَالَ: «ادْخُلْ» فَقُلْتُ: أَكُلِّي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: «كُلُّكَ» فَدَخَلْتُ. قَالَ عُثْمَان بن أبي عَاتِكَة: إِنَّمَا قَالَ أَدْخُلُ كُلِّي مِنْ صِغَرِ الْقُبَّةِ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
Awf bin Malik Ashja'i (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I presented myself before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on the occasion of the Battle of Tabuk. He was in a small leather tent. I greeted him with salam, and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied to my salam and said: "Come inside." I said: O Messenger of Allah! Should I come in completely (all of me)? He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Come in completely (all of you)." I went inside. ‘Uthman bin Abi ‘Atikah (the narrator) says: He said, "Should I come in completely into the small tent?" Sahih, narrated by Abu Dawood.
