It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Bedouin named Zahir bin Haram used to bring gifts from the desert for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and when he intended to return, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would give him (provisions). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Zahir is our agent in the desert and we are his caretakers in the city." And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to love him, even though he was not handsome. One day, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came while he was selling his goods, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) embraced him from behind, and he could not see who it was. He said: "Let me go, who is this?" He looked from one side and recognized that it was the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). When he recognized him, he pressed his back firmly against the blessed chest of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) began to say: "Who will buy this slave?" He said: "O Messenger of Allah! By Allah, you will find me of little value." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "But you are not of little value in the sight of Allah." Its chain is authentic. It is narrated in Sharh al-Sunnah.
