وَفِي رِوَايَةِ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: «صَاحِبُ الزِّنَا يَتُوبُ وَصَاحِبُ الْغِيبَةِ لَيْسَ لَهُ تَوْبَةٌ» . رَوَى الْبَيْهَقِيُّ الْأَحَادِيثَ الثَّلَاثَةَ فِي «شُعَبِ الْإِيمَانِ»
And in the narration of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), it is stated: "The one who commits adultery repents, whereas there is no repentance for the one who backbites." (Because he does not consider it important that this is also a sin, and thus he is unable to repent.) Imam Bayhaqi has narrated all three hadiths in Shu'ab al-Iman. Its chain of narration is weak.
