(رَائِحَةُ الْكَذِبِ تَصِلُ إِلَى مِيلٍ)(The stench of lying reaches a mile)
Hadith 4844

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا كَذَبَ الْعَبْدُ تَبَاعَدَ عَنْهُ الْمَلَكُ مِيلًا مِنْ نَتْنِ مَا جاءَ بِهِ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When a servant tells a lie, because of its stench, the angel moves a mile away from him." Its chain is weak. Narrated by al-Tirmidhi.
