Hadith 4829

Narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a man sought permission to enter upon the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Give him permission to enter, for he is a bad man of his people." When he sat down, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) showed happiness on his face and smiled at him. When the man left, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "O Messenger of Allah! You said such and such about him, then (when he came) you showed happiness on your face and smiled at him." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When did you ever find me to be foul-mouthed? For on the Day of Resurrection, the worst in status before Allah will be the one whom people leave alone to avoid his evil." In another narration: "To avoid his foul speech." Agreed upon.
