Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man praised another man in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Woe to you! You have cut your brother's neck." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said this three times. "If someone must praise, then let him say: I consider so-and-so to be such-and-such, while Allah knows best about his reality. If the person is as he thinks, then he should not declare anyone's purity before Allah with certainty." Agreed upon.
