Hadith 4794

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لِأَنَّ يمتلىءَ جَوْفُ رَجُلٍ قَيْحًا يَرِيهِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ يمتلئ شعرًا» مُتَّفق عَلَيْهِ
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "It is better for a man's belly to be filled with pus that corrodes it than to fill his belly with (blameworthy) poetry." Agreed upon.
