(عَدَمُ وُجُوبِ الرَّدِّ عَلَى عُطَاسِ مَنْ بِهِ زُكَامٌ)(No obligation to respond to the sneezing of someone with a cold)
Hadith 4743

وَعَن أبي هريرةَ قَالَ: «شَمِّتْ أَخَاكَ ثَلَاثًا فَإِنْ زَادَ فَهُوَ زُكَامٌ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَقَالَ: لَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ رَفَعَ الْحَدِيثَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: "Say the supplicatory response to your (Muslim) brother (in reply to his sneeze) three times; if the sneezing increases, then it is a cold." Its chain is Hasan. Narrated by Abu Dawood. And (the narrator) Sa‘id al-Maqburi said: I only know about him that he attributed the hadith to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) as marfu‘.
