وَعَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إ��ذَا عَرَّسَ بِلَيْلٍ اضْطَجَعَ عَلَى شِقِّهِ الْأَيْمَنِ وَإِذَا عَرَّسَ قُبَيْلَ الصُّبْحِ نَصَبَ ذِرَاعَهُ وَوَضَعَ رَأْسَهُ عَلَى كَفِّهِ. رَوَاهُ فِي «شَرْحِ السُّنَّةِ»
It is narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) camped at night, he would lie down on his right side, and when he camped shortly before morning, he would prop up his elbow and rest his head on his palm. Sahih, narrated in Sharh al-Sunnah.
