It is narrated from Kaldah bin Hanbal that Safwan bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) sent (through my hand) milk or a fawn and a cucumber to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), while the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was in the upper area. The narrator states: I went to him but neither greeted nor sought permission. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Go back and say: As-salamu Alaikum! May I come in?" Its chain is Hasan. Narrated by Tirmidhi and Abu Dawood.
