The Book of Legal Punishments
(إِنَّ الخَمْرَ تُصْنَعُ عَادَةً مِنَ التَّمْرِ وَالعِنَبِ)
(Wine is generally made from dates and grapes)
Hadith 3634
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: الْخَمْرُ مِنْ هَاتَيْنِ الشَّجرتينِ: النخلةِ والعِنَبَةِ . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Wine comes from these two trees, the date-palm and the grapevine.” Muslim transmitted it.
