The Book of Oaths and Vows
(اللَّهُ تَعَالَى غَنِيٌّ عَنِ التَّعَبِ بِمَنِّ النَّذْرِ)
(Allah Almighty is free from the need for suffering due to vows)
Hadith 3432
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ لِمُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: «ارْكَبْ أَيُّهَا الشَّيْخُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنْكَ وَعَن نذرك»
In a version by Muslim on Abu Huraira’s authority he said, “Ride, old man, for God is not in need of you and your vow.”
