(وَعِيدٌ عَلَى رِوَايَةِ حَدِيثٍ كَاذِبٍ)(A warning against narrating a false hadith)
Hadith 233
اُردوEn
وَرَوَاهُ ابْنُ مَاجَهْ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَجَابِرٍ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ: «اتَّقُوا الْحَدِيثَ عَنِّي إِلَّا مَا علمْتُم»
and Ibn Majah transmitted it from Ibn Mas'ud and Jabir, but did not mention, “ Be on your guard about tradition from me, except what you know.”

Authentication of the Hadith:
It is authentic.
◄ The hadith narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Mas'ud radi Allahu anhu is also found in Sunan al-Tirmidhi [2257], and Imam al-Tirmidhi said: «هذا حديث حسن صحيح»
◄ The hadith of Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Mas'ud radi Allahu anhu is also found in Musnad Ahmad [3؍303] and elsewhere, and it is authentic with supporting narrations.
◄ The mentioned hadith is mutawatir (mass-transmitted). See: [قطف الازهار المتناثره فى الاخبار المتواتره ح 1], [لفظ اللآلي المتناثره فى الاحاديث المتواتره 71], and [نظم المتناثره من الحديث المتواتر ح1]
