Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, “In the last days there will be lying dajjals who will bring you traditions of which neither you nor your fathers have heard, so beware of them. They will neither lead you astray nor seduce you.” Muslim transmitted it.

Hadith Takhrij´تحقيق و تخريج: محدث العصر حافظ زبير على زئي رحمه الله` «رواه مسلم (7/7)»
Fiqh al-Hadith: ➊ Those unsourced (unsupported) hadiths which are not found in the books of the hadith scholars (muhaddithin), the people who present such hadiths are the ones addressed by this hadith. For example: ◄ «من عرف نفسه فقد عرف ربه» ◄ «لا جمعة إلا بخطبة» ◄ «لو لاك لما خلقت الافلاك اور أول ما خلق الله نوري» and other such types of narrations. ➋ Among the fundamental signs of the people of innovation (ahl al-bid‘ah) is also this: that they continue to present fabricated, baseless, and unsourced narrations as proof. ➌ It is necessary to keep away from and avoid the people of innovation (ahl al-bid‘ah). ➍ In this hadith, "you" refers to the noble hadith scholars (muhaddithin, i.e., ahl al-hadith); therefore, in this hadith there is a virtue for the ahl al-hadith. ➎ Narrating false and baseless hadiths is forbidden (haram). ➏ Lying upon the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) is a major sin (kabirah) and a very great crime, regarding which, according to the research of some hadith scholars, the repentance (tawbah) of such a person will not be accepted in this world. ➐ The one who fabricates hadiths is a liar (kadhdhab) and a deceiver (dajjal); even in the present era, some people fabricate hadiths to embellish their oratory. «العياذ بالله»

Ubayd Allah bin Mu’ādh al-Anbarī narrated to us, my father narrated to us; and Muhammad bin ul-Muthannā narrated to us, Abd ur-Rahman bin Mahdī both narrated to us: Shu’bah narrated to us, on authority of Khubayb bin Abd ir-Rahman, on authority of Hafs bin Āsim, on authority of Abī Hurayrah, he said, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah upon him, said: ‘It is enough of a lie for a man to narrate everything he hears’.

Hadith Commentary:Benefits and Issues: Generally, people continue to speak both false and true statements of all kinds. Therefore, if a person relates every heard statement without investigation, he will inevitably speak falsehood. Thus, it is not correct to transmit anyone’s statement without reflection or verification.
