Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, "By Him in whose hand Muhammad’s soul is, anyone of this people, Jew or Christian, who hears of me and then dies without believing in my message, will be among those who go to hell.” Muslim transmitted it.

Takhrij al-Hadith:
Fiqh al-Hadith
➊ It is clearly established from this hadith and other evidences that having faith in Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), is obligatory upon every human being. Whoever, whether he is a Jew, a Christian, or belongs to any other religion, does not have faith in you (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) and does not accept you as a Messenger and Prophet, then such a person is a disbeliever (kafir) and will abide eternally in Hell.
➋ The Jews and Christians are specifically mentioned because they are the two major revealed religions in the world, who claim to believe in prophets and messengers, and are also called the People of the Book (Ahl al-Kitab). When even these People of the Book will enter Hell for not believing in you (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), it is understood that followers of other religions, such as Hindus, Buddhists, etc., will also enter Hell for not believing in you.
➌ After the advent of you (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), all previous laws (shari‘ahs) have been abrogated.
➍ There is a difference of opinion among the scholars regarding the person to whom the call of Islam has not reached.
❀ In one hadith, it is mentioned that such a person will be tested on the Day of Resurrection.
Note: This narration is weak with all its chains of transmission.
➎ In this hadith, the attribute of Allah, «يد» "hand," is affirmed. We have faith in these words, do not interpret them figuratively, nor do we liken them to anything, and this is the creed and doctrine of Ahl al-Sunnah. To call the attribute of Allah, «يد», among the ambiguous (mutashabihat) is the creed of the people of innovation (Ahl al-Bid‘ah).
