بَابُ الْوُضُوءِ مِنْ مَسِّ الْفَرْجِ
Chapter: Wudu after touching the private part
Al-Matalib al-'Aliyah 135-2 — Wudu after touching the private part
قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ الْبُرْسَانِيُّ ، أَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، قَالَ - يَعْنِي الزُّهْرِيَّ - ، وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ مِنْهُ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ بُسْرَةَ بِنْتِ صَفْوَانَ ، وَعَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : « إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ » .
قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ : وَقَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى ثُمَّ عَادَ فِي مَجْلِسِهِ فَتَوَضَّأَ ، ثُمَّ أَعَادَ الصَّلَاةَ ، فَقَالَ : « إِنِّي كُنْتُ مَسِسْتُ ذَكَرِي ، فَنَسِيتُ » .
135 / 2 - أَخْبَرَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ فِي مَسْجِدِ الرَّسُولِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : « إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ »
قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ : وَقَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى ثُمَّ عَادَ فِي مَجْلِسِهِ فَتَوَضَّأَ ، ثُمَّ أَعَادَ الصَّلَاةَ ، فَقَالَ : « إِنِّي كُنْتُ مَسِسْتُ ذَكَرِي ، فَنَسِيتُ » .
135 / 2 - أَخْبَرَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ فِي مَسْجِدِ الرَّسُولِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : « إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ »
It is narrated from Urwah (may Allah have mercy on him); al-Zuhri says (and I did not hear it directly from him (Urwah)) that he used to narrate from Busrah bint Safwan and Sayyiduna Zayd bin Khalid al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him), and they from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any one of you touches his private part (the male organ), let him perform ablution."
Ibn Jurayj said: And Yahya bin Abi Kathir narrated through a man from the Ansar that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led the prayer, then returned to his gathering and performed ablution, then repeated the prayer and said: "I had touched my male organ (during the prayer), and I forgot."

The second route (the route of Mu'adh bin Hisham):
It is narrated from Yahya bin Abi Kathir; he said: A man in the Prophet's Mosque (peace and blessings be upon him) narrated to me through Urwah, from the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Aishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any one of you touches his private part, let him perform ablution."
Ibn Jurayj said: And Yahya bin Abi Kathir narrated through a man from the Ansar that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led the prayer, then returned to his gathering and performed ablution, then repeated the prayer and said: "I had touched my male organ (during the prayer), and I forgot."
