Hadith 949
أن رجلا سأل ابن عمر عن الأضحية أواجبة هى ؟ فقال ضحى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم و المسلمون فأعادها عليه فقال أتعقل ؟ ضحى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم و المسلمون
A man asked Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about sacrifice, whether it is obligatory. He replied: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and the Muslims have performed sacrifice. Then he asked you the same question again, so you said: Do you understand? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and the Muslims have performed sacrifice.
