Hadith 951

ما عمل ابن آدم يوم النحر احب الى الله من اراقة دم وانها لتأتى يوم القيامة بقرونها و أظلافها و أشعارها و ان الدم ليقع من الله عزوجل بمكان قبل ان يقع على الأرض فطيبوا بها نفسا
"On the tenth of Dhul-Hijjah, the son of Adam does not perform any deed more beloved to Allah than shedding blood (offering sacrifice). These animals will come on the Day of Resurrection with their horns, hooves, and hair. Before the blood falls to the ground, it attains a position with Allah. So, offer your sacrifice with a cheerful heart."
