Disobedience turns to obedience by prayer and forgiveness
Hadith 854

ان العبد ليموت أبواه أو أحدهما وأنه لعاق فلا يزال يدعو لهما و يستغفر لهما حتى يكتب عند الله بارا
"If a person's parents or one of them passes away and he was disobedient to them, but then he continues to pray and seek forgiveness for them, he is recorded by Allah as one who is dutiful and obedient."
