ما أباح لنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ولا أبوبكر ولا عمر فى شىء ما أباحوا فى الصلاة على الميت يعنى لم يوقت
"The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) did not make anything as permissible for us as they made permissible in the funeral prayer for the deceased, that is, they did not fix a specific time for it."
