Hadith 141

ان الايمان سربال يسربله الله من يشاء فاذا زني العبد نزع منه سربال الايمان فان تاب رد عليه
"Iman is a garment; Allah bestows this garment upon whomsoever He wills. So when a servant commits adultery, Allah removes the garment of iman from him, and if he repents, He returns it to him."
