بَابُ : كَرَاهِيَةِ الْمُعَصْفَرِ لِلرِّجَالِ
Chapter: Clothes dyed with safflower are undesirable for men
Hadith 3601
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ , عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ , عَنْ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سُهَيْلٍ , عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , قَالَ : نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " عَنِ الْمُفَدَّمِ " , قَالَ يَزِيدُ : قُلْتُ لِلْحَسَنِ : مَا الْمُفَدَّمُ ؟ قَالَ : الْمُشْبَعُ بِالْعُصْفُرِ .
´It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade Al-Mufaddam.”
Hadith 3602
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ , عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا , يَقُولُ : " نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , وَلَا أَقُولُ نَهَاكُمْ , عَنْ لُبْسِ الْمُعَصْفَرِ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin Hunain said:` “I heard ‘Ali say: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade me – and I do not say that he forbade you – from wearing clothes dyed with safflower.’”
Hadith 3603
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ , عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ الْغَازِ , عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ جَدِّهِ , قَالَ : أَقْبَلْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ ثَنِيَّةِ أَذَاخِرَ , فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيَّ وَعَلَيَّ رَيْطَةٌ مُضَرَّجَةٌ بِالْعُصْفُرِ , فَقَالَ : " مَا هَذِهِ ؟ " , فَعَرَفْتُ مَا كَرِهَ , فَأَتَيْتُ أَهْلِي وَهُمْ يَسْجُرُونَ تَنُّورَهُمْ فَقَذَفْتُهَا فِيهِ , ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُ مِنَ الْغَدِ , فَقَالَ : " يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ , مَا فَعَلَتِ الرَّيْطَةُ " , فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ , فَقَالَ : " أَلَا كَسَوْتَهَا بَعْضَ أَهْلِكَ , فَإِنَّهُ لَا بَأْسَ بِذَلِكَ لِلنِّسَاءِ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Amr bin Shu’aib, from his father, that his grandfather said:` “We came with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was Thaniyyat Adhakhir. He turned to me, and I was wearing a thin cloak dyed with safflower, and said: ‘What is this?’ And I realized that he disliked it. I came to my family when they were heating their oven and threw it (in the oven). Then I came to him the following day and he said: ‘O ‘Abdullah, what happened to the thin cloak?’ I told him (what I had done) and he said: ‘Why did you not give it to some of your family to wear, for there is nothing wrong with it for women.’”
