بَابُ : الإِقَامَةِ عَلَى الْبِكْرِ وَالثَّيِّبِ
Chapter: Staying with a virgin and a previously-married woman
Hadith 1916
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ لِلثَّيِّبِ ثَلَاثًا ، وَلِلْبِكْرِ سَبْعًا " .
´It was narrated from Anas:` that the Messenger of Allah said: “Three days for a previously-married woman and seven days for a virgin.”
Hadith 1917
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ يَعْنِي بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا تَزَوَّجَ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ أَقَامَ عِنْدَهَا ثَلَاثًا ، وَقَالَ : " لَيْسَ بِكِ عَلَى أَهْلِكِ هَوَانٌ ، إِنْ شِئْتِ سَبَّعْتُ لَكِ ، وَإِنْ سَبَّعْتُ لَكِ سَبَّعْتُ لِنِسَائِي " .
´It was narrated from Al-Harith from his father that when when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) married Umm Salamah, he stayed with her for three days, then he said:` “You are not insignificant in your husband's eyes. If you wish, I will stay with you for seven days, but then I will stay with my other wives for seven days too.”
