Establishing the Prayer and the Sunnah Regarding Them
. بَابُ : مَا جَاءَ فِي فَضْلِ الصَّلاَةِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَمَسْجِدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Chapter: What was narrated concerning the virtue of praying in the Sacred Mosque and the Mosque of the Prophet (saws)
Hadith 1404
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُصْعَبٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ ، وَعُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي عبد الله ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَغَرِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِي هَذَا أَفْضَلُ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ ، إِلَّا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “One prayer in this mosque of mine is better than a thousand prayers anywhere else, except The Sacred Mosque (Al-Masjid Al-Haram).” (Another chain) from Abu Hurairah from the Prophet (ﷺ) with similar wording.
Hadith 1405
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِي هَذَا أَفْضَلُ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ مِنَ الْمَسَاجِدِ ، إِلَّا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “One prayer in this mosque of mine is better than one thousand prayers in any other mosque except the Sacred Mosque.”
Hadith 1406
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ أَسَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ عَدِيٍّ ، أَنْبَأَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِي أَفْضَلُ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ ، إِلَّا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ ، وَصَلَاةٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ مِائَةِ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ " .
´It was narrated from Jabir that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “One prayer in my mosque is better than one thousand prayers elsewhere, except the Sacred Mosque, and one prayer in the Sacred Mosque is better than one hundred thousand prayers elsewhere.”
