. بَابُ : مَا جَاءَ فِيمَنْ سَجَدَهُمَا بَعْدَ السَّلاَمِ
Chapter: What was narrated concerning one who does the prostration after the Salam
Hadith 1218
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ خَلَّادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ ، سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ بَعْدَ السَّلَامِ ، وَذَكَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ " .
It was narrated from ‘Alqamah that Ibn Mas’ud prostrated twice for the prostrations of forgetfulness after the Salam, and he mentioned that the Prophet (ﷺ) did that.”
Hadith 1219
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ الْعَنْسِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ ، عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " فِي كُلِّ سَهْوٍ سَجْدَتَانِ بَعْدَ مَا يُسَلِّمُ " .
´It was narrated that Thawban said:` “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘For every mistake there are two prostrations, after saying the Salam.’”
