بَابُ : مَا جَاءَ فِي الْغُسْلِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ
Chapter: What was narrated concerning bath on Friday
Hadith 1087
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَسَّانُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْأَشْعَثِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَوْسُ بْنُ أَوْسٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ غَسَّلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، وَاغْتَسَلَ ، وَبَكَّرَ ، وَابْتَكَرَ ، وَمَشَى ، وَلَمْ يَرْكَبْ ، وَدَنَا مِنَ الْإِمَامِ فَاسْتَمَعَ ، وَلَمْ يَلْغُ ، كَانَ لَهُ بِكُلِّ خَطْوَةٍ عَمَلُ سَنَةٍ أَجْرُ صِيَامِهَا وَقِيَامِهَا " .
´Aws bin Aws Ath-Thaqafi said:` “I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: ‘Whoever takes a bath on Friday, and bathes completely, and goes early, arriving early,* and walks and does not ride (to the mosque), and sits close to the Imam and listens to him, and does not engage in idle talk; for every step he takes he will have the reward of one year, the reward of a year’s fasting and praying (at night).”
Hadith 1088
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ : " مَنْ أَتَى الْجُمُعَةَ فَلْيَغْتَسِلْ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said:` “I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say from the pulpit: ‘Whoever comes to Friday, let him take a bath.’”
Hadith 1089
حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ أَبِي سَهْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنَّ ّرَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Bath on Fridays is obligatory for every male who has reached the age of puberty.”
