بَابُ : مَا جَاءَ فِي التَّوْقِيتِ فِي الْمَسْحِ لِلْمُقِيمِ وَالْمُسَافِرِ
Chapter: What was narrated concerning the period of wiping for residents and travelers
Hadith 552
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ الْحَكَمِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ مُخَيْمِرَةَ ، عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ عَنِ الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ ؟ فَقَالَتْ : ائْتِ عَلِيًّا فَسَلْهُ فَإِنَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِذَلِكَ مِنِّي ، فَأَتَيْتُ عَلِيًّا فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَن الْمَسْحِ ؟ فَقَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَأْمُرُنَا أَنْ نَمْسَحَ لِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمًا وَلَيْلَةً ، وَلِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ " .
´It was narrated that Shuraih bin Hani' said:` "I asked 'Aishah about wiping over the leather socks and she said: 'Go to 'Ali and ask him, for he knows more about that than I do.' So I went to 'Ali and asked him about wiping. He said: 'The Messenger of Allah used to tell us that the resident could wipe for one day and one night, and the traveler could do so for three days.'"
Hadith 553
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ ، عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، قَالَ : " جَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثًا ، وَلَوْ مَضَى السَّائِلُ عَلَى مَسْأَلَتِهِ لَجَعَلَهَا خَمْسًا " .
´It was narrated that Khuzaimah bin Thabit said:` "The Messenger of Allah set a time limit for the traveler of three days, and if the questioner had persisted in asking, he would have made it five (days)."
Hadith 554
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ ، عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ " ، أَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ : " وَلَيَالِيهِنَّ لِلْمُسَافِرِ فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ " .
´It was narrated from Khuzaimah bin Thabit that:` The Prophet said: "Three days." I think he said, "And three nights during which the traveler may wipe over his leather socks."
Hadith 555
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي خَثْعَمٍ الثُّمَالِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا الطُّهُورُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ ؟ قَالَ : " لِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيهِنَّ ، وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "They said: 'O Messenger of Allah! What about the purification of the leather socks?' He said: 'For the traveler it is three days and nights, and for the resident it is one day and one night.'"
Hadith 556
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، وَبِشْرُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ الصَّوَّافُ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْمُهَاجِرُ أَبُو مَخْلَدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَّهُ رَخَّصَ لِلْمُسَافِرِ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ وَلَبِسَ خُفَّيْهِ ، ثُمَّ أَحْدَثَ وُضُوءًا أَنْ يَمْسَحَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيَهُنَّ ، وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمًا وَلَيْلَةً " .
´It was narrated from 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Bakrah, from his father, that:` The Prophet granted a concession to travelers: "If a traveler performed ablution and put on leather socks, then he performed a fresh ablution, he could wipe over the leather socks for three days and nights; the resident could do so for one day and one night."
