Benefits and Issues:
(1)
The reason for giving greater importance to the Muhajirun and Ansar, the noble Companions (radi Allahu anhum ajma'in), was that they were superior to ordinary people in terms of intellect and memory. Thus, if such individuals stood close to the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), they would be able to understand the issues well and memorize them, and also explain them to others. Whereas those who lived far from the city and only occasionally had the opportunity to be in the Prophet’s (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) presence did not possess these abilities to the same degree. Those people, when needed, could ask the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) or the senior Companions (radi Allahu anhum ajma'in) about religious matters.
