´It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:` “The Messenger of Allah had a reed mat that he would spread out during the day, and make into a compartment at night, towards which he would perform prayer.”

1؎: Some have mentioned i'tikaf (spiritual retreat), but in any case, praying towards a sutrah (barrier) is also derived from this hadith, and for this reason, the author has included it in this chapter. A sutrah is the barrier which a person performing prayer places in front of himself with some object; people may pass in front of him beyond this barrier.
