´It was narrated that Abu Malih said:` “I went out on a rainy night (for congregational prayer), and when I came back I asked for the door to be opened. My father said: ‘Who is this?’ I said: ‘Abu Malih.’ He said: ‘We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) at Hudaybiyah and it rained a little, such that the soles of our sandals did not get wet. The announcer of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) called out: ‘Perform your prayer at your camps.’”

´It was narrated from Abu Al Malih that his father said:` "We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) in Hunain and it rained. The caller of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) called out, telling us: 'Pray where you are."'

855. Commentary: This announcement is made during the adhan itself—after "Hayya 'ala al-falah," or in place of "Hayya 'ala al-salah, Hayya 'ala al-falah," or at the end of the adhan. Even now, if it is raining, or there is excessive mud, or a bitterly cold wind is blowing, and it is not possible to reach the mosque, then the mu’adhdhin can make this announcement. And Allah knows best. For further clarification on this issue, see the introduction to the Book of Adhan.

Narrated Usamah ibn Umayr al-Huzali: Usamah attended the Prophet ﷺ on the occasion of the treaty of al-Hudaybiyyah on Friday. The rain fell as little as the soles of the shoes of the people were not set. He (the Prophet) commanded them to offer Friday prayer in their dwellings.

«1059۔ اردو حاشيه :» It is not established from the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) that he led the Friday prayer (Jumu‘ah) while on a journey. For residents, if attendance is difficult, there is a concession. However, the imam should lead the Friday prayer for those present. For details, see: [صحيح بخاري۔ حديث : 668]
