Benefit:
After completing the prayer, it is Sunnah for the imam to turn his face away from the qiblah and sit facing the congregation.
For this purpose, he may turn towards the congregation either from the right side or from the left side; both ways are correct.

1:
In the narration of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud radi Allahu anhu, it is stated: ((I have often seen the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam turning to his left)), and in the narration of Anas radi Allahu anhu, it is stated: ((Most often I saw the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam turning to his right)). Apparently, there is a contradiction between these two narrations.
The reconciliation is given in such a way that both narrated according to their own knowledge and observations.
Note:
(In the chain of narration, Qabeesah ibn Hulb is lenient in hadith, meaning he is weak. This hadith, by being strengthened through the narration of Ibn Mas'ud radi Allahu anhu (Abu Dawood, Kitab al-Salat 204, Hadith no. 1042), is Hasan Sahih in this chapter.)
