´‘Uqbah bin ‘Amir Al-Juhani said:` “When the following was revealed: ‘So glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most Great’,[69:52] the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to us: ‘Say this in your Ruku’.’ And when the following was revealed: ‘Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High.’[87:1] the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to us: ‘Say this in your prostrations.’”

Shaykh Umar Farooq Saeedi
869. Commentary:
These tasbihat are established through authentic chains of narration. The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam himself practiced this. The Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam personally used to recite these tasbihat in bowing (ruku) and prostration (sujud).
The two aforementioned narrations in Sunan Abi Dawud [869] and [870] are, according to Shaykh al-Albani rahimahullah, weak in their chains of narration, but due to supporting evidences, this addition is considered authentic by him.

Supplications of Ruku (Bowing)
You used to say «سبحان ربي العظيم» in ruku (regularly).
Evidence: The wording of this narration is as follows:
You would also command the recitation of the above-mentioned supplication in prayer.
Imam Dhahabi has mentioned a difference of opinion regarding the number of times this tasbih is to be recited.
Maymun bin Mehran (Tabi‘i) and Zuhri (Tabi‘i) state that in ruku and sujud, one should not recite less than three tasbihat [
In addition to this, the following supplications are also authentically reported from you (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam):
“O Allah! Our Lord, You are pure, we praise You. O Allah, forgive me.”
You (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) used to recite this supplication frequently.
“He is free from every defect, He is the Lord of the angels and Jibril.”
“O Allah, You are pure and to You belongs all praise. There is no deity (truly worthy of worship) except You.”
“O Allah! I have bowed for You, I have believed in You, and I have submitted to You. My hearing, my sight, my bones, my marrow, and my sinews have all humbled themselves before You.”
Any of these supplications may be recited; however, combining and reciting all of these supplications together in a single ruku or sujud is not established by any explicit evidence. However, based on the general evidence of «ثم ليتخير من الدعاء أعجبه إليه فيدعو .» [صحيح بخاري: 835] in the state of tashahhud, combining these supplications is also permissible. And Allah knows best.
