Explanation & Benefits
Maulana Ataullah Sajid
Benefit:
Prostration (sujud) is the most excellent way for a servant to express humility before Allah. At this moment, seven parts of the body touch the ground, as if all these limbs are practically expressing servitude.
The combination of the heart’s humility and the limbs touching the ground constitutes the true prostration.
A servant should strive to make his prostration as complete as possible so that he may attain the greatest possible pleasure of Allah.
